Welcome to Yoga Habit!

Creating space for connection in our neighborhood.

Yoga Habit is a warm, welcoming studio in the heart of the Fairmount neighborhood.

We believe yoga is more than a way to care for your physical and mental health. It’s a social practice - connecting us with ourselves AND each other.

Our community is everything to us. Each person who walks through our doors is welcome and belongs. We value a diverse community at Yoga Habit because it’s more fun that way and we all have a lot to learn from each other. We are more powerful together and hope you feel at home with us.

Power yoga challenges us physically and mentally. Mindfulness gives us clarity and connection.

Together, we find our breath and ourselves.

AT YOGA HABIT…

Our classes are beginner friendly.  Every class is designed to be modified based on your experience and how you’re feeling in the moment. You can take it easy or kick it up when you’re feeling energetic and simply want a challenge.

Our classes are heated.  We’ve invested in far infrared radiant heat panels to warm our space to 90-95 degrees. The heat is gentle but will definitely create an invigorating and sweaty practice. *Our Slow Flow + Restore classes are not hot but warm.

Classes start on time. We begin right at the scheduled start time, and we can’t accept any late arrivals after this point. You’ll want to plan to arrive early enough to greet your friends and get settled.

Our studio is a tech-free zone. In order to create space in your body and mind, we ask you to leave your phone in the lobby during class.

We offer rental mats. Rental mats and towels are available for a small fee. *Rental mats and towels are free to first timers and also included in our 2 Weeks for $50 and membership.

We have a shower. Our shower is available after class on a first come, first serve basis. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap are provided.

 Our Guiding Principles…

  • Show up when you’re full of energy and ready for a challenge. Show up when you’re tired and need comfort. Build a consistent practice - a habit of yoga - for your life. Show up for yourself.

  • We gather in an atmosphere of kindness and respect. You are welcome here. You are accepted here. You are free to explore how power yoga can change your life.

  • Keep it simple. As long as you’re breathing, you are doing yoga. Everything else flows from this point.

  • Yoga is a practice and it will look different every single time you show up on your mat. Meet yourself exactly where you are. The power is in the practice.

  • This practice will challenge you physically and mentally. The movement, the heat, the breath - it all creates shifts. You’ll leave class feeling better than when you arrived.

  • Put your attention on your body and breath. From this focus, you will create room in your mind to better connect with yourself and the people around you.

  • “I was never into group workouts prior to joining Yoga Habit. The space is beautiful and clean, and the classes are amazing—great workouts that really helped me cultivate and strengthen my mindfulness practice. I’ve gone to other studios since starting at Yoga Habit and they just aren’t as good. If you’re looking for a tough workout and a wonderful space, go here!”

    —Sami S.

  • “I love everything about this studio. It's clean, spacious, has high ceilings and huge windows (and greenery!). The standard power yoga class is my main form of exercise, and it certainly does the trick! You'll leave feeling sweaty, accomplished and very proud of yourself.”

    —Jennifer L.

  • “I really can’t say enough positive things about Yoga Habit. The studio is warm and welcoming. The instructors are fantastic - they are kind and nonjudgmental. You will be motivated and inspired. The classes may push you physically in ways that you never thought were possible but you will be so thankful for it afterwards.”

    —Reetu D.

  • “Four months ago, I was brand new to any yoga practice, and now Yoga Habit is my home away from home. Jen and her team do an amazing job introducing the practice, making each class a little bit different and they're always welcoming to those, of all levels. I'm so lucky to have found a place to sweat and center after a long day or soak up a morning recharge on the weekend. I am so glad to have found my love and appreciation for Yoga Habit and look forward to every time I'm there!”
